WHAT IS ACCREDITATION?

Accreditation is a formal, independent verification that a program or institution meets established quality standards and is competent to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks. Conformity assessment tasks may include, but are not limited to, testing, inspection, or certification.

AC478 Accreditation program

The AC478 Accreditation program is the most comprehensive quality assurance accreditation of its kind for metal building assembly. It is administered by the International Accreditation Service, a member of the International Code Council Family of Solutions which develops the IBC codes.

IAS accredited metal building assemblers are preferred by architects, specifiers, owners, manufacturers and regulators. Accredited companies have demonstrated they have the management and inspection procedures to competently assemble metal building systems in accordance with specified requirements.
